I think a lot of people only tell one side of the story when it comes to the healing journey. You see growth, enlightenment and forgiveness. What you don't often see is the path there.
Everyone's path is different but I feel most are similar in making you feel through all your old traumas. The things you left buried or moved past just to keep you alive. It was a matter of survival in some instances. And now you are left with the challenge of reopening those wounds and resetting those bones so they can heal correctly this time. To sit in that pain and hopefully get to the other side.
The emotions that come with those experiences can be like an angry sea. Washing over you relentlessly, crashing over your shores. The whole process can leave you black and blue in every sense of the word. Emotionally bruised, physically depleted and spiritually dark and seemingly without light.
At this point I normally interject a positive spin of hope and perseverance but it's not going to be found in this description. Healing can be brutal. Correction healing is brutal with utmost certainties. I think it's important for people to hear that. I think it's important to acknowledge that, yeah, it just sucks. There's no other way to say it.
For you, in this moment, it sucks. None of this invalidation talk of "it could be worse". "Other people have it worse" crap. Or you could have X ailment or you could have X situation. It's important to acknowledge your own experience. And regardless of what it is, it's valid. This moment, to you, it is your worst, it is the worst and it sucks.
Sit in it, feel it and know there are other people who understand.
Even if you don't end up purchasing anything. I appreciate you stopping by to take a look and I hope this helped you in some way. Good luck, I am rooting for you.
Sincerely,
Ryan Schmid - "Be Good, Do Good"
