A lighthouse serves a simple purpose. To keep vessels at sea from crashing on to the rocky shoreline. To sailors, they are a Beacon, guiding them along their journey. Lighthouses, many a time, sit stoically perched upon a cliffside, doing its job day after day, night after night, always being lit and always providing protection. For all that it does, shining its light against the crashing waves, salt ocean spray and gale force winds. It does require maintenance and downtime in order to do its job the best it can. A coat of paint, a changing of bulbs, amongst other things keep the light house at full strength providing safety for others.

This photo can be for someone that you see as a Beacon in your life. Someone that is consistent, undaunted and constantly shines their light providing safety and guidance. It can also be a reminder for that person that even though they have an important job its ok to take time for themselves. In fact it is completely necessary to keep doing what they do best.
