Express yourself. Art is a fantastic medium for the soul. It makes the things you feel tangible. It makes them real. I guess they have always been real but I guess what I meant to say is it gives them life, breath. Light. It brings them to light instead of buried deep within.

The body knows. It remembers. So the more you can express those emotions in a healthy manner and bring them to the surface the safer your nervous system will feel.

Once your nervous system starts to feel safe again beautiful things happen. You find peace. You rediscover joy. Life overall seems brighter.

There is a saying that I've seen recently that really resonated with me. The saying is "Art is dangerous". And it absolutely is. It's an instrument for people to heal. And healed, grounded and emotionally non reactive people are a dangerous bunch.
