If you have spent any amount of time in the photography industry or people that enjoy photography, you have more than likely heard the name Ansel Adams thrown around a few times.

As a newby I didn't think much about the name until recently. So I decided to see what was the big deal about this person. A quick google search later and I see what all the hub-bub was all about.

The quality, the composition skill and breakthrough innovation and technique were really truly something special. Especially considering the point in time, when he was shooting photography.

I've always been drawn to black and white photography and so maybe I find his work a bit more alluring and gravitating. Or maybe I am just another basic photography nerd. Either way I'm cool with it.

I think the beautiful thing about Ansel was that beyond photography he was an advocate for the national parks and wilderness he photographed. Helping to protect their beauty not only for people of his time but also future generations.

I appreciate the people before me that kept our most precious assets natural and wild. So thank you Ansel for all your hard work and allowing me to enjoy the serenity and stillness of the world around me.
